Antique clock concentrate cleaning fluid

1 Litre

The solution should be mixed to the ratio of 1 part cleaner to 7 parts cold water. Mix well and place in a suitable plastic container with a sealed lid (a clip lock box).

The cleaner is ammonia based so precaution should be maintained when mixing as the fumes are harmful.

!Good ventilation is a must!

Items to submerged can be left for between 1 to 3 hours depending on how stubborn the dirt is but no more than 24 hours.

A soft brush can be used to agitate dirt and then a rinse in warm water should do the trick.

The cleaner can be stored and used a number of times.

!!The best bit about this cleaner is the fact it does not harm original gilding!!

  • Having worked in the antique restoration trade for some 20 years I have produced a non ferrous metal cleaning solution which removes old dirt and grease.

It gives a kick start especially when restoring antique clock movements.
